naw, some rich dude who pays a lot for landscaping owns this little piece of wonder. It was not too far into the spring, just mowed it and I happened to drive by at the right time.

i increased the contrast and reduced noise using neat image. i use film and just have an average scanner that tends to be a bit flat when scanning. so yes, about +10 contrast i believe.

hey man, great image. ive always kept my eye open for a tree all alone like that but never have seen one so perfect. And the straylight run lyrics just are too perfect.

thanks a lot. i actually used the lyrics because of the cliche that images like this are. plus i was listening to the song at the time. thanks for you comment and fav.

I love the sharpness and vividness of the green. Beautiful gradient in the blue of the sky - and its so clear. Lovely positioning too. I love it.

well the reason it is on the right is because people look at photos the same way they read - from left to right. so this way, the negative space is more apparent. i know what you mean though, and thank you for you input. very nice of you. :)

What makes this photo work in my opinion is:

- The right amount of foreground,
- The size of the tree in proportion to the rest of the photo,
- and most importantly, the slope of the grass line (hill) falling from where the tree is to the left side of the frame. If you took away the slope I don't think it would be as good a photo as it is.

Good Job.

Wow, is that real..

It looks very good. How the tree looks so alone.. Poor tree.

And I love how the sky gets lighter.. And the color of the grass. Great.

The only thing I dislike is in the sky, there are some white dots, and they mess it all up. But it's still a great shot.
